Reds lose out in close encounter at St Austell
After being reduced to 156-9 chasning 203 to win, few would have predicted the final partnership to come within 7 runs of victory but that was the situation that unfolded at St Austell as Arron Wallace and Nigel Hambly narrowly failed to guide redruth to a famous win. St Austell made 202-9 batting first but Redruth were bowled out for 195 with 5 balls remaining. The 2XI were the only Redruth team to pick up a win this weekend, defeating St Ives by 62 runs.
